An “RD” is a political party’s representative district committee. In theory, Democrats and Republicans could each have 41 RDs in Delaware, one for each representative district represented in the Delaware General Assembly. These committees exist to elect party members to office. To do so, they organize party members, raise money, hold events, educate voters, get out the vote, and more. They are a party's grassroots foundation, and—beyond the explicitly political work—they are great ways to meet people who share your values and build community. (From The Delaware Project)
